At 10 km from Amman, Iraq El Amir is an ancient site located in an amphitheatre of rocks where one can see the gigantic and romantic ruins of Qasr El Abd; a palace which was built by the family of Tobias. Its rectangular plan with the megalithic stones and its impressive sculptures of lions represent unique vestiges in Jordan and all the Near East.
