Jerusalem & Bethlehem in one day

Morning:

Arrival at Allenby bridge, meet and assist by our representative.

Head to Jerusalem and start our tour with a drive to the top of Mt. of Olives, from which Jesus ascended to heaven after his resurrection. From the top of the Mount enjoy a magnificent view over all of ancient and modern Jerusalem, the center of the biblical world.

We walk down the “Palm Sunday Road” visiting the Chapel of Dominus Flevit (Jesus wept).  En route to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations where Christ prayed on the night of his betrayal (Lk. 22:40-46).

Next we shall enter within the old Walled City of Jerusalem to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

We shall visit the last standing remnant of the ancient Temple at the Western (Wailing) Wall and visit Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock and some of the exciting Archaeological sites in and around the Old City.

Afternoon:

A short drive to Bethlehem, (possibility to have your lunch in one of the local restaurants). Then you will have time for shopping.

Visit the Nativity Church marking the birthplace of Jesus. Then visit the Grotto, the Church of St Catharine and St. Jerome Caves were the bible was translated from Hebrew to Latin language.

Visit the Shepherds’ Field in Beit Sahour where the angels’ announcement of the birth of Jesus is remembered.

Transfer to Allenby bridge for departure.
